SanDisk is gearing up big time to woo the MP3 player fans. They have dished out the Sansa slotMusic Player, which is a plug & play, portable music player that can be used in conjunction with the new slotMusic cards available in the United States. SanDisk has created personalized, branded slotMusic players for artists like Robin Thicke and ABBA. The artist-branded version includes both the slotMusic card and a player featuring the artist's name and image. It comes pre-loaded with an album on a 1GB slotMusic card. The player is devised to play slotMusic card albums or a self-loaded microSD card full of music. It need not be hooked to a PC or Internet.

Sansa slotMusic Player will be available in Best Buy and Wal-Mart for under $20. The branded player will retail for $34.99. the player supports MP3 and WMA (DRM-free only) files.
